Search Engine Optimiser - more common than tech support?

When I started professionally working in the technology industry the most common employment role was probably as a technical support assistant or a tech guru, but as times change as does the industry, you are just as likely to find a seo specialist within a company as you are a load of techies and an seo expert providing seo services is a valid role, because good serp results mean good traffic, which means good business!
