Spiders Net

Now in my old flat I never really bothered with things like ornaments, rugs or pictures. I was more concerned with my car, my bar and my tv. But things change, people move on, I moved out and now in my new house with a new girl it would seem we have suddenly developed a requirement for rugs.

I spent the whole of saturday going around a shop looking for a rug with my girlfriend, getting bored after a few hours I was ready to give up but then I saw game and thought I might as well venture across the street. She wasn’t too pleased I was leaving her with a huge choice of rugs but then, I never really personally wanted a rug!!! Eventually she found a cool rug, well when I say ‘cool’ she would say it was cool - I would say it was overpriced and boring, but I let her have 80% of the house - because apart from this 2 hour slot I had given her I haven’t got the time to be bothered with the interior of our house.

Typically the rug was huge (the biggest one in this wholesale rugs shop), wouldn’t have fitted into my car - audi (its not an estate and the rug was 10ft wide anyway!) so we got it delivered - was pretty quick to turn up while I was on the phone to a business partner the next day. Annoyingly the girlfriend was out so I dealt with it - asking them to place it where it was intended for - the front hall. It did look quite good but I wasn’t going to tell her - I then proceeded to make a whole pot of coffee walk along the rug, slip over and drop an entire pot of coffee down the middle of it. God damn white rug.
