Supra Dreams
I have just spent over an hour oggling the new car fantasy - 2007 Supra. It is pretty, and it will probably be spine shatteringly quick, but how can it compare to the mark IV Toyota God? I don’t know if it can, from what i’ve seen so far it will be good, a good looking car, a fast car.
But theres more to it than that, the french call it ‘va-va-voom’, USA (especially south) probably call it ’soul’, us british dont like to brand that extra something, we just smile about it. You know its there when you go and meet a classic car collector at a vintage car show or such and say ’seriously nice car’ (its a black mg or a 1930’s random car) and then you can tell that instance, he grins hugely looks at the car as it as important as the queen and he’s managed to build it. Then when he continues to point out the 6.2 litre v8 under the arched bonnet, custom suspension and hydrolic breaks.
It should be noted that even with all that v8 muscle and a combustion chamber the size of the grand canyon, the uk supra would still whip its ass. strait 6 3 litre is pretty optimal for that car range if you ask me. screw over capacitated American blocks, unless they are in something smaller - but then that’s like a huge American wrestler in a small black dress.
